Over the entire history of the institute's existence, many joint projects and works have been carried out with companies from near and far abroad. Over the years, agreements and memoranda of cooperation have been concluded with road organizations and scientific institutes of such countries as: Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Belarus, USA, England, Germany, Denmark, Japan, China, Taiwan, Mongolia, Italy, France and others.
In 2014, as part of the implementation of the "Program for the development of interstate standards, the application of which on a voluntary basis ensures compliance with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union "Road Safety" (TR CU 014/201), approved by the Decision of the Board of the Eurasian Commission No. 81 dated June 13, 2012, a lot of joint work was carried out with the participation of three member states. The Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus and Kazakhstan. As a result, 171 standards were developed in different directions: the Republic of Kazakhstan - 11 standards, the Republic of Belarus – 8, the Russian Federation – 152 standards.
Within the framework of the Memorandum on Scientific and Technical Cooperation between KazdorNII JSC and Belgiprodor State Enterprise, work was carried out on the development of design and estimate documentation for the reconstruction of the Aktobe-Atyrau-gr highway of republican significance. RF to Astrakhan", the site "Atyrau-gr. RF".
Memoranda on scientific and technical cooperation have been signed only in the last 5 years:
- Agreement on joint research with the State Key Laboratory of the People's Republic of China on the safety of road facilities and reliability in high-altitude cold areas (LLP "First Road Design and Survey Institute") in cooperation in the field of scientific research in high-mountain-cold areas, in areas of shortage of road materials and in other areas with harsh conditions and joint research (China, Xi'an, 2017);
- Agreement on consulting services for diagnostics on road sections between KazdorNII JSC and the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering of the University of Rome "La Sapienza" (DICEA, 2017);
- Memorandum of cooperation in the field of modern road construction technologies, and in particular, the introduction of new technologies in road construction using modern technologies and materials, as well as attracting the latest knowledge in the field of design, diagnostics and the creation of a pilot production base between KazdorNII JSC and Remdorstroy LLP (Kazakhstan, 2018);
- Memorandum of cooperation between KazdorNII JSC and Gubkin Engineering and Technical Center LLC and Dala-Ekos LLP in the field of modern technologies of road construction and, in particular, road construction using seropolymers and materials based on them (sulfur concrete, gray asphalt concrete), as well as attracting the latest knowledge in the field of design, diagnostics and the creation of experimental road sections using seropolymer materials (Russia, 2018);
- Memorandum of Cooperation No. M-21/01 No. 361 dated 03/17/2021 with International Educational Corporation LLP (IOC LLP). The memorandum was concluded with the aim of improving the quality of education in the field of transport construction by highly qualified professional personnel who adequately respond to the demands of innovative development of industrial production, maximizing the approximation of the educational process to real production, effective use of personnel and material and technical capabilities of the Enterprise, conducting joint research with the involvement of students at the University, advanced training of employees of the Enterprise (Kazakhstan, 2021).
- Cooperation Agreement dated 08/04/2021 with JSC "Science Foundation" on joint work on commercialization of the results of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad (Kazakhstan, 2021).
- "Agreement on cooperation in the road industry" dated 12.09.2022 with the FAA "RosdorNII" (Russia, 2022), etc.
KazdorNIA's cooperation is not limited only to the introduction of new road-building materials to the Kazakh market, it is also expressed in the exchange of professional experience with interested structures of the road industry, including International level, training of specialists of the institute in prestigious universities of the world, passing foreign internships to teach new technologies and technological solutions, as well as in increasing prestige the road industry of our republic on the world stage.
Within the framework of the signed memoranda, two specialists of the Institute were trained in doctoral studies at foreign universities and defended their dissertations for the degree of Doctor of PhD:
in 2020 – Ashimova S.Zh., at the University of Calabria (University of Calabria), Italy;
in 2021 – Tileu K.B., at the University of La Sapienza (Sapienza University of Rome), Italy.
Within the framework of their activities, the Institute's specialists maintain close ties with scientific organizations and educational institutions of CIS countries and far abroad: University of Pisa (Italy), University of Calabria (Italy), Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transport and Architecture named after N. Isanova (KGUSTA), Moscow Automobile and Road State Technical University (MADI, Russia), Tomsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (TSASU, Russia), Russian Road Research Institute (Russia), Siberian State Automobile and Road University (SibADI), St. Petersburg State University of Railways of Emperor Alexander I (FGBOU VO PGUPS, Russia), the Institute of Mechanics and Seismic Resistance of Structures named after M.T. Urazbaeva (Uzbekistan), the Belarusian Road Research Institute (Republic of Belarus), etc.
The results of research activities are reported annually and actively discussed at various international scientific forums: conferences, congresses, seminars.
In order to establish new business ties and to widely publicize and discuss the results of its scientific and technical activities, including new developments and technical solutions, KazdorNII JSC annually participates in International Exhibitions "KazTraffic", and also organizes and conducts International Scientific and Practical Conferences within the framework of these exhibitions.
In 2020-2022, within the framework of the Grant Financing Project of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Improvement of high- and low-temperature characteristics of road bitumen", the Institute carried out joint research work with Cesare Oliviero Rossi, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies of the University of Calabria (CTC PCAM LAB - Group of Applied Industrial Physical Chemistry, Italy). Cesare Oliviero Rossi is a well–known scientist in the field of research on the properties and characteristics of bitumen and asphalt concrete, as well as binders used in road construction.
In 2022, as part of another project on the topic "Development of a carbon nanopowder additive to road asphalt concrete, determination of standard and non-standard characteristics of carbon-nanomodified bitumen and asphalt concrete based on it", joint scientific work was also carried out with Cesare Oliviero Rossi.
In 2023, work is planned to reform the regulatory and technical base of the road industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where a new structure of the regulatory framework of the road industry will be developed taking into account new technologies and world practice. As part of this work, leading specialists from countries near and far abroad will be involved, and in this regard, at the moment, the issue of concluding relevant Memorandums of Cooperation is being worked out.
