ACHIEVEMENTS AND AWARDS OF “KAZAKHSTAN ROAD RESEARCH INSTITUTE” JSC
For the entire, more than 65-year history of existence, “KazdorNII” JSC has significant results of its scientific and scientific-technical activities, including: design, construction of transport and road facilities; development and implementation of new innovative materials and technologies; development of legislative draft, normative legal acts, legislative acts; improvement of the sectoral regulatory and technical base; publication of scientific papers in rating publications and scientific discoveries, long-term international cooperation with specialists in the professional field, joint international projects and programs, and much more.
Due to the high qualification of specialists and the availability of modern equipment for testing materials according to national, international and foreign standards, the following have been carried out:
- introduction of new asphalt concrete compositions on sections of “Astana-Schuchinsk” roads and “Western Europe-Western China”;
- independent examination of materials and works in “Western Europe-Western China" project;
- monitoring the quality of used road bitumen and cements; support of projects for the implementation of innovative repair and construction technologies (the use of polymer asphalt concrete in the top layer of the pavement, thin wear layers, the repair of expansion joints of cement concrete pavements with hot mastics, the treatment of asphalt concrete pavements with special impregnating compounds, the use of warm asphalt concrete mixes, soil stabilizers and geosynthetic materials, etc.);
- scientific and technical support during the reconstruction and development of the regulatory framework and design estimates for the payment system for the first highway “Astana-Schuchinsk”;
- monitoring of the weight parameters of vehicles on the network of roads of the republic, etc.
As a result of many years of complex (laboratory, field and theoretical) scientific research, for the first time in the field of roads, 3 scientific discoveries were established:
1) “Regularity of self-organization of asphalt concrete pavement during low-temperature cracking” (Diploma No. 495, 2016);
2) “Regularity of staged fatigue failure of viscoelastic materials (Teltaev’s principle)” (Diploma No. 501, 2017);
3) “The phenomenon of the formation of nanostructured bitumen” (Diploma No. 516, 2019).
In 2018, Springer Nature, one of the world’s largest and most prestigious scientific publishers, reviewed and published the monograph “Viscoelastic Properties of Asphalts Based on Penetration and Softening Point”, authors of which are Radovsky B.S. and Teltaev B.B. This book is in great demand among scientists.
For the first time in Kazakhstan, “KazdorNII” JSC introduced an automated system for continuous monitoring of the water-thermal regime of road structures in 28 geographical points of the republic, in order to cover all the difficult climatic conditions of the country.
“KazdorNII” JSC has developed new effective technologies for obtaining a number of nanomaterials, produced domestic carbon nanopowder, nanobitumen and nanoasphalt concretes, which have been successfully tested in production - roads sections have been built in Nur-Sultan and Almaty. The results obtained within this direction were reported at the International Symposia and published in rating journals.
AWARDS:
National Certificate Industry Leader- 2014, Industry leader - 2015 National Business Ratings issued by the International Rating Agency: according to the ranking results of 2012-2013 and 2013-2014, the institute took the Gold rating in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
For outstanding achievements in scientific and technical activities, design of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the CIS member states and in connection with the 55th anniversary of “KazdorNII”, he was awarded a Diploma from the International Academy of Transport (2014).
The project of “KazdorNII” JSC on the topic: “Research of “warm asphalt concrete” with the use of special additives, scientific and technical support for pilot application, subsequent monitoring with an assessment of the feasibility of implementation” became the winner of the ECO World International Environmental Award in the nomination “Environmental developments, resource saving and non-waste technologies”, Moscow.
Badge of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Kurmetti Zholshy” (Honorary Road Worker) awarded a number of employees of the Institute. The title of “Honorary Road Worker of the CIS” was awarded to 2 employees of the Institute.
For the outstanding results of their professional activities, the employees of the Institute in different years were awarded: The badge “Bilim beru isinin kyzmetkeri" of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Diplomas of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honorary Diplomas of the Committee for Roads were awarded, awarded a commemorative medal “Participant in the construction of “Western Europe-Western China”, “For contribution to road science”.
In addition, the employees of the Institute have international awards: “Gold Medal named after V.I. Vernadsky” (Moscow), diplomas of laureates of the II degree in the International Ecological Prize “ECO World”, diplomas of the “International Transport Academy”, medals named after. P.P. Melnikov, certificates of honor of the Intergovernmental Council of Road Workers, etc.
