QSmartAntiglaze does not corrode roads, sidewalks, shoes and car bodies, does not harm trees and bushes, is safe for human health, and, most importantly, quickly drowns ice and retains its properties even at extreme frosts. Kazakhstani scientists did not disclose details about the composition of the new development while the material was undergoing real winter tests on the roads of one of the northern regions of the country. However, after successful tests in KazdorNII reported a number of details.

“At the testing in March 2024 in Akmola region, where temperatures dropped to -18 °C, the reagent successfully coped with the task. Present at the approbation representatives of key road organizations of Kazakhstan recorded this result as positive and confirming the need for further introduction of the reagent on the roads of the country,” - said the Institute.

It also became known about the prospects for commercialization of scientific development. The drug is interested in Kazakhstani business, engaged in the import of foreign PGM. QSmartAntiglaze is a colorless liquid, which melts ice and snow within 20-30 minutes and continues to work even in severe frosts, preventing the re-formation of ice, which is typical for salt-containing reagents that quickly lose their effectiveness when the temperature drops to - 10 ° C.

One of the main advantages of the development of Kazakhstani scientists - environmental friendliness and gentle impact on asphalt, rubber, metals and concrete, which is especially important for the durability of roads and maintenance of infrastructure in good condition. The new salt-free reagent also does not form toxic compounds in waste water or in the air.

“QSmartAntiglaze meets modern environmental safety requirements. Its components decompose after they have performed their task and do not harm the environment. Thus, it is suitable for use in cities and natural areas where it is important to minimize pollution,” KazdorNII specialists emphasize.

Another number of important factors are also noted: low consumption rates, availability and ease of preparation of the solution. It does not require expensive equipment for its production.
