Chairman of the Committee of Roads Tolegen Abdullin took part in the plenary session of the international scientific and practical conference “Crossing of innovation and infrastructure: formula for the development of the road industry”, organized by “KazdorNII” within the framework of the 19th exhibition Kaztraffic-2023. Tolegen Abdullin informed the scientific and expert communities about current and prospective road projects in Kazakhstan. According to him, in 2023 the total coverage of road works on public roads is about 11 thousand kilometers, including 17 construction and reconstruction projects of 3.6 thousand kilometers within the framework of the development of the republican network. By the end of the year, it is planned to complete construction works on 856 km.

Also, the head of the CfR reported on new priority projects planned for 2024-2026. “The first three projects on which there is a high level of elaboration are the first three projects on roads reconstruction “Aktobe – Ulgaysyn”, “Zhezkazgan-Karaganda”, “Saryagash bypass” with a total length of 877 km. It is planned to start construction works on several sections as early as next year. Due to the capital- and resource-intensive nature of the projects, the remaining projects are planned to start their implementation in stages, as the transitional projects are completed,” the speaker said.

At the conference in Astana, international road experts will present bright engineering innovations and smart technologies to solve modern problems of the road construction industry. During the two-day event, experts from Kazakhstan, Germany, France, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Russia and Belarus will read out their reports. In addition, representatives of the World Road Association PIARC will share their vision of further development of the industry.

It should be noted that the Kaztraffic-2023 exhibition is highly relevant for Kazakhstan in terms of experience exchange and development of the road industry. More than 100 exhibitors from different countries will demonstrate the latest technical developments and products in the field of road construction, maintenance, safety and digitalization of roads.
