Kazakhstan Road Research Institute is announcing the competition “Environmental aspects of transport infrastructure: decarbonization and industrial waste”. This event is aimed at finding and supporting promising developments of young scientists that contribute to improving the environmental sustainability and efficiency of road construction. The competition will be held on April 11, 2025 and will become a key Territory for interaction between young scientists, representatives of business, government agencies and the scientific community.
Aims and objectives of the competition
The initiative is aimed at:
- identifying and supporting innovative solutions focused on reducing carbon footprint and efficient use of industrial waste in road construction;
- creation of a dialog platform for sharing experience between industry specialists;
- promoting the introduction of new technologies into the real sector of the economy.
Who can participate?
Young scientists (up to 45 years old), as well as teams of researchers representing scientific organizations, universities and commercial enterprises are invited to participate.
The main requirements for the works:
- Originality and scientific validity;
- Focus on recycling industrial waste or reducing carbon dioxide emissions in the road sector;
- Practical applicability of the developments.
Opportunities for winners
Winners of the competition will receive:
- Diplomas and cash prizes;
