About 400 respondents took part in it, of which 62% were university students in the field of Transport Construction, 32% were road specialists, 6% were heads of road construction and design organizations.

According to the results of the study, 28% of the students surveyed plan to work in the direction of road construction, 21% - in the direction of operation, 11.5% - in design, 25% - do not see themselves in the specialty. 27% of students are not even ready to consider job offers.

In 52% of cases, road organizations solve the shortage of personnel with the help of professional connections and contacts, and only in 5% they attract personnel through good wages, 38% send workers for retraining, 47% - for training courses. 70% of road workers recognize the problem of turnover among middle managers, more than 9% call it one of the biggest problems of the enterprise.

It turned out that when hiring graduates, 52% of managers look at academic performance, 14% - on the recommendations of colleagues, 76% - are interested in the personal qualities of young people. According to 52% of experts, the new generation of road workers lacks technical skills, 43% believe that graduates are passive, 9% complain about their lack of basic theoretical knowledge.

“The shortage of personnel among road workers is a serious problem. We are on the verge of extinction. The deficit is at least 10 times greater than the number of students graduating from educational institutions in a year. In addition, not all graduates go to work in their profession. This problem arose due to such reasons as low wages in the road industry, the lack of prestige of the profession and certain groups of educational programs in the higher education system. The base of professionals can solve some of these problems. Specialists - in search of work, employers - in search of the necessary personnel. I ask colleagues to take a survey.
