To determine the top research priorities and key challenges in the road industry, and to create a platform for demonstration and commercialization of innovative developments of domestic scientists, a “Road Construction: Science and Business (From Science to Production)” forum took place in Almaty.

Within the framework of the forum, domestic scientists had an opportunity to present their technologies and materials ready for commercialization to potential investors and industry bodies, as well as to establish contacts and attract investments for further commercialization of their developments.

The forum was organized by the Kazakhstan Road Research Institute (KazdorNII) with the support of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The forum itself was held at ALT University named after Mukhamedjan Tynyshpayev. “Earlier, the head of state Kasym-Jomart Tokayev at the meeting of the National Council on Science gave special attention to the commercialization of scientific developments of domestic scientists. And noted that for this purpose it is necessary to build effective mechanisms of interaction between the scientific community and business. We hope that this forum becomes a good platform for the implementation and development of this framework”- said Vice-Minister of Transport Sajan Ablaliyev.
