On November 15-16, within the framework of the 19th Kaztraffic-2023 exhibition, the Kazakhstan Road Research Institute (KazdorNII JSC), with the support of the Ministry of Transport, will hold an international scientific and practical conference "The Crossroads of Innovation and Infrastructure: the formula for the development of the road industry".
Vice-Minister of Transport Satzhan Ablaliyev, Chairman of the Committee of Highways Tolegen Abdullin and Secretary General of the World Road Association PIARC Patrick Mallejak will speak at the plenary session.
President of the Polish Road Congress Zbigniew Kotlarek, Chief Engineer of JSTI GROUP, Professor Cao Rongji, leading seismologist engineer from the University of California at Berkeley Shahzod Tahirov, as well as Director of Research and Development of China Shandong International Economic & Technical Cooperation Group Ltd Weilin Wu will also present their reports.
In addition, experts from Kazakhstan, Germany, France, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Russia and Belarus will participate in the discussions.
The conference will cover such topics as "The role of PIARC in the development of the road industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan", "Nanotechnology of the XXI century for the construction of environmentally friendly and durable transport infrastructure", "Modern technologies of structural monitoring, testing and numerical modeling to ensure the reliability and durability of infrastructure", "Smart technologies on the road and emergency management", "The use of plastics as polymer additives to increase the durability of asphalt concrete", etc.
It should be noted that the topics discussed at the international conference are of high relevance for Kazakhstan, since one of the priorities of the republic is the development of transport and logistics potential and highways. The conference is a platform for the exchange of views of foreign and domestic scientists, experts, road workers, government agencies and the business community.
Recall that Kazakhstan has been a member of PIARC since this year. The corresponding agreement was signed at the XXVII World Road Congress in Prague.
