JSC “KazdorNII” and the German Institute for Standardization DIN discussed prospects for cooperation on standardization in the road industry.
January 23, 2025 JSC “KazdorNII” with the assistance of the Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology MIT RK held a meeting in the central office of the German Institute for Standardization DIN in Berlin. During the meeting discussed the key areas of future cooperation aimed at the development of road infrastructure in Kazakhstan.
For reference: DIN - is the national standardization body of Germany. It was founded in 1917, since 1975 it was recognized as the official national standardization body of Germany. At present the staff of the company consists of more than 500 permanent employees and more than 3400 core members, the total number of experts is more than 36 000 people.
Special attention was paid to the adaptation of German standards for implementation in the road industry of Kazakhstan. The issues of improving the quality of road construction materials and technologies through the development and implementation of international standards were considered, as well as possible expert advice and exchange of experience, which will help to improve the standardization processes of the industry in the country.
In addition, the parties discussed the possibilities of realization of the joint research projects on implementation of SuperPave methodology, aimed at using new methods of designing asphalt-concrete mixes with enhanced performance characteristics at extreme temperatures and intensive traffic loads.
Long-term cooperation will contribute to the speedy Swage to international standards and establish an exchange of experience, contributing to the development of the industry in both countries.
Let us remind you that over the last two years KazdorNII has been updating the normative and technical documentation of the road sector, adapting it to international standards taking into account changes in climatic conditions in the country, increased traffic intensity and other factors affecting the quality of roads.
