Within the framework of the state task, in order to exchange experience, the specialists of the Kazakhstan Road Research Institute have established a strategically important cooperation with the University of California at Berkeley. In particular, an agreement was reached on joint work with the director of the University's Intellectual Infrastructure Center, Professor Shahzod Takhirov.

Doctor PhD Sh .Tahirov develops technologies aimed at research and implementation of sensor installations in the road infrastructure. According to the reviews of international road workers, this technology allows you to predict and determine defects in advance, which contributes to improving the efficiency of maintenance and operation of highways.

In addition, Kazakhstani road workers visited Sensor Fusion and Monitoring Technologies during their working trip to the USA. Domestic specialists got acquainted with advanced technologies in the field of monitoring and testing of road structures.
