As a result of the joint work of the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and KazdorNII JSC, a separate bachelor's degree program in the specialty "Transport Construction" has been revived in Kazakhstan.
According to an earlier analysis, today the road industry lacks about 1.5 thousand certified specialists. Thus, in order to solve one of the systemic problems of personnel shortages in the road industry, about 1,000 state educational grants will be allocated for the training of qualified road workers this year.
In addition, in order to solve the problem of personnel shortage, KazdorNII JSC created a digital bank of road industry professionals last year. Jolshy's database of road workers will contain information about all specialists in the road industry — from university graduates to veterans working in construction, in the design and operation of highways. In particular, information on the qualifications of specialists, their work experience, the availability of certificates of completion of advanced training courses, etc. will be reflected. At the same time, employers have the opportunity to select the right personnel.
To date, work is underway to fill in the database and integrate it with other government systems. The base is expected to be put into operation in the near future.
