The Kazakhstan Road Research Institute has announced a contest themed “Environmental aspects of transport infrastructure: decarbonization and industrial waste.”
This contest is aimed at finding and supporting promising developments by young scientists that contribute to improving the environmental sustainability and efficiency of road construction. The contest will become a key platform for interaction between young scientists, business representatives, government agencies, and the scientific community.
Aims and objectives of the contest:
- to identify and support innovative solutions aimed at reducing the carbon footprint and the efficient use of industrial waste in road construction;
- to create a dialogue platform for the exchange of experience between industry experts;
- to promote the introduction of new technologies into the real sector of the economy.
Who can participate? Young scientists (up to 45 years old) and research teams representing scientific organizations, universities, and commercial enterprises are invited to participate.
Main requirements for entries
- Originality and scientific validity;
- Focus on industrial waste recycling or reducing carbon dioxide emissions in the road sector;
- Practical applicability of developments.
Winners of the competition will receive:
- Diplomas and cash prizes;
- Support from government agencies and businesses in the realization of the project;
- Opportunity to publish scientific papers in specialized journals;
- Consultations and mentoring from leading industry experts;
- Inclusion in the Institute's talent pool.
