As part of project management services, “KazdorNII” JSC is involved in “Kurty-Burylbaital” road reconstruction project of 85 km long under the technical category I-b, the implementation of which is financed by the World Bank.

This road section is part of “Astana-Karaganda-Balkhash-Kapshagay-Almaty” Center-South Transit Corridor and is included in the national project “Strong Regions - Driver of the Country’s Development”. The existing road of technical category III was built in the 60’s of the last century, and does not provide the capacity and reliability of the pavement structure, with the current axle load of modern trucks. The contract for construction and installation works was signed with “KLV INSAAT A.S.” on December 12, 2022. The contractor promptly mobilized 217 units of equipment and 414 experienced personnel and began construction and installation works.

As of today, “KLV INSAAT A.S.” has constructed 2.5 km of C4 lower base layer, 14.0 km of subbase, 360 thousand m3 of the subgrade embankment, installed 6 culverts and prepared 100 thousand m3 of crushed-stone (36%), 0.86 thousand m3 of reinforced concrete products (31%), 130 thousand m3 of sand and gravel mix (30%) and 7 thousand tons of bitumen (39%).

Already on this weekend the Contracting organization will begin work on the asphalt concrete layers construction.

In total, according to the work plan and the task of “KLV INSAAT A.S.”, it is planned to provide passage over the new pavement on one side as early as this year. Completion of the project is planned for 2024-2025.
