Kazakhstan Road Research Institute has signed an agreement with ALT University and Kazakh Automobile and Kazakh automobile and road Institute named after L. B. Goncharov on dual education of students.
The new wave of collaboration between long-standing partners gives students from automobile institutes the opportunity to expand their theoretical knowledge with practical competencies. The additional classes will be held within the walls of KazdorNII.
The initiative is intended to improve the quality of training of future specialists of the road industry, as well as to give students a better understanding of the profession.
For many years, the research institute has provided opportunities for practical training and internships for road students. Now KazdorNII will directly participate in the educational process.
"We see this as a good opportunity to make a positive contribution to solving the industry's problem of the shortage of qualified specialists. Our goal is to contribute to the quality training of professionals. Dual training will begin in January-February 2025 with classes on the basis of our laboratory,”said details of the Vice President of JSC ‘KazdorNII’ Yerik Amirbayev.
It is emphasized that the expanded training will not require additional costs from either students or universities, as support for educational processes will be provided free of charge.
The agreement between KazdorNII, KazADI and ALT University was reached during the scientific conference and international exhibition Kaztraffic-2024 in Astana.
The Research Institute pays increased attention to the challenge of staff shortage in the road industry and constantly initiates the development of system solutions. Thus, for example, in 2022 a study of the reasons for the shortage of specialists was conducted, based on which joint efforts with the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the system of higher education restored an independent specialty “Transport Construction”.
In 2023, the Institute launched the Competence Development Center for advanced training and retraining of existing road builders.
And in 2024 the information base of professionals in the road industry “Jolshy” was developed, which is expected to become a personnel directory of the industry and an analogue of the electronic labor exchange.
