Following the order № 354 dated 30.10.2024, the implementation of the IS “Unified base of road construction materials and new technologies” will be piloted in the projects of repair and overhaul, reconstruction and construction of roads throughout the Republic of Kazakhstan in the period between November 1, 2024 and October 31, 2025.

JSC “Kazakhstan Road Research Institute” has been appointed as the coordinator of the pilot implementation. The draft of departmental order underwent approval phases and public discussion on the portal “Open NPA” in July this year. The project is aims to increase the requirements for materials and new technologies used on highways, as well as to ensure efficiency in the selection of suppliers and manufacturers of road-building materials and new technologies. The “pilot” involves “KazdorNII”, “QazAvtoJol”, “National Center for Quality of Road Assets” and akimats of regions, cities of republican significance and the capital.

In addition, suppliers and manufacturers of road construction materials, products, structures and new technologies can voluntarily participate in the pilot implementation.

Within the framework of the project “KazAutoZhol” and NQCRA during the specified period will use in their activities the materials, products and structures included in the “Unified base of DRCM&NT”, according to their status and area of application.

IS “Unified base of DRCM&NT” is a proprietary development of scientists and IT-specialists of the research institute. Work on the creation of a digital product began on behalf of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the end of 2022.

Construction materials and technologies get into the Unified Base after a multi-stage process of checking their properties and qualities, as well as study by a collegial body - the Technical Council, which includes road construction experts, scientists, designers and representatives of public organizations”, says the head of the new technologies department of ‘KazdorNII’ Omirbekova Zauresh.
