A round table on the development of a Road Safety Strategy was held in Astana

The objective of the meeting was to develop comprehensive approaches to improving road safety, taking into account international practices. The discussion was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Transport and the Committee of Highways of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and the Transport Prosecutor's Office.

Participants considered proposals to introduce mandatory safety audits and inspections at every phase of the road life cycle, improve legislation, and develop individual action plans for each authorized body.
