As part of the introduction of Superpave technology in Astana, a seminar was held on “Technologies for the preparation of polymer-bitumen binders and the selection of bitumens according to PG.”

➡️Modern road construction requires synergy between science and production. This is especially true during Kazakhstan's transition to international quality standards. During the seminar, leading experts discussed key aspects of polymer-bitumen binder (PBB) preparation technology, which is the basis for durable and sustainable road pavements.

The seminar was attended by specialists from the Committee of Highways of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KazdorNII JSC, KazBitumenService LLP, QazAvtoJol JSC,as well as representatives of the country's leading oil refining and road construction companies.

🔎One of the key points was the discussion of the potential of Kazakh bitumen. Experts participating in the seminar confirmed that the raw material base and technological equipment of Kazakh oil refineries allow for the successful production of polymer bitumens in accordance with international standards. This opens up new prospects for the development of the domestic road industry, reducing dependence on imports and strengthening Kazakhstan's position on the international scene.

The panel discussion following the seminar emphasized the importance of a comprehensive approach: only by combining scientific research and production capacity can significant progress be made in modernizing Kazakhstan's road infrastructure.
