As part of dual training, second-year students of the educational programs “Bridges, Tunnels, and Subways” and “Highways and Airports” at ALT University named after M. Tynyshpaev completed practical lessons in the discipline “Building Materials” held at KazdorNII JSC.

📚The course covered a wide range of road construction materials, including bituminous and waterproofing binders, mineral powders, and stone materials. Students studied the physical and mechanical properties of materials and mastered laboratory testing methods such as penetration, plasticity, tensile strength, resistance to temperature effects, and adhesion to bitumen in accordance with the regulatory requirements of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The training process also covered the specifics of bitumen plant operation, polymer-bitumen binder production technology, and bitumen grades used in the industry. In addition, students conducted laboratory tests of mineral components to determine their grain composition, wear, powderiness, and resistance to external influences.

✅One of the practical activities was a visit to the geological museum of KazNITU named after K. I. Satpaev, where students got to see a collection of rocks and minerals used in road and industrial construction.

Classes held at the Institute allowed students to not only gain theoretical knowledge, but also consolidate practical skills, which contributes to improving the quality of training for future specialists in the road industry.
