The work on analysis of soils and testing of stabilizers included in the Unified Base of Road Construction Materials and New Technologies has started in West Kazakhstan and Aktobe regions. Special attention is given to domestic developments that have been tested and received “yellow” and “green” status, which confirms their compliance with quality and safety standards.

"Kazakhstan is divided into four soil-geographical zones: from sodic soils to sandy loams. There is no universal product that is equally effective on all types of soils and in different environmental conditions. Each zone requires a different approach in the selection of stabilizers. Anymistakes in the selection of materials can reduce the efficiency of works and significantly worsen the quality of roads", - said Asemgul Nigmetova, a leading engineer of the Department of New Technologies of KazdorNII JSC.

Research has already begun in West Kazakhstan and Aktobe regions, where local executive bodies have expressed interest in scientific and technical support to improve the quality of roads and the relevant memorandum has been signed with scientists of "KazdorNII". KazdorNII specialists are conducting detailed tests of materials for each climatic zone to select the most effective solutions. Based on the results of the research, recommendations will be developed for contractors on the optimal use of soil stabilizers depending on the type of soil and environmental conditions. This will improve the quality of road bases across the country and extend the service life of roads.
