KazdorNII and QazaqBitum have signed a landmark cooperation agreement that opens a new phase in the development of the country's road transportation industry. The partnership will focus on the phased introduction of Superasphalt technology in Kazakhstan.
The key elements of cooperation also include sharing experience and knowledge to collaboratively develop and implement innovations, new technologies and prospective road-building materials.
The Agreement is part of the large-scale work carried out by the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the road map for the development of national standards, the creation of new departmental regulations of mandatory and voluntary application.
As a reminder, by order of President Tokayev, a pilot project to integrate the principles of Superpave technology into road construction and repair processes will officially start in Kazakhstan in 2025. This will significantly improve the quality and durability of roads in the country and bring them up to the international standards.
The approach based on the standards of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) implies volumetric design of asphalt concrete and ensures high performance of road pavements that are adapted to different climatic conditions.
The introduction of advanced technology will also reduce the cost of operation and maintenance of road infrastructure. The agreement signed between KazdorNII and QazaqBitum opens new prospects for the development of innovations in the road sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
